What started out as an ordinary trip to New York to visit our friends Ryan & Britt, quickly took a very exciting turn. The morning of, I receive a message from Ryan explaining how he’s in hopes of proposing to Britt this week and is looking to have the perfect cover story to get her where she needs to be without any knowledge of what’s to come. Thats where Leola & I step in! With our visit to New York already planned along with my offer of shooting a few couples photos of Ryan & Britt to add to my portfolio, it was a perfect cover story. Ryan jumped on the opportunity to go about this proposal without raising any suspicion.
It was in Central Park where Ryan wanted to ask Britt to marry him. A few nonchalant comments from me about never getting to shoot in Central Park was the perfect set up to take their “couple photos” there. This rock, as you will see below, was the first spot they had a picnic together when Ryan first moved to New York.
That very morning, while waiting for Ryan to finish work, Britt had mentioned to us that she wanted to get engaged in New York since that was where the majority of their relationship had blossomed! She said she knew Ryan was the one and had hoped, when it happened, their engagement photos would be in New York. It was so hard for Leola and I not to lose it when she said that! So after the initial proposal at their special place in Central Park, we adventured around the surrounding areas to take engagement photos in the city of their love.
